If you are thinking about moving or have just recently moved to the Main Line, you may be wondering about places to go or sights to see nearby that will make this summer a memorable one. You are in luck: The Main Line and surrounding areas offer so many opportunities for both individuals and families that the possibility of a boring summer is nonexistent! Here are some of my recommendations for an exhilarating summer on the Main Line.

For those of you who like to shop:

King of Prussia boasts home to the largest mall in America. From department stores, to high-end fashion boutiques, to affordable shopping, and countless eating locations, the KOP mall has it all! Not even 5 minutes from the mall is the newly built King of Prussia Town Center, which houses multiple stores and restaurants which do not disappoint! For more of a city feel, travel down Route 30 to Ardmore and visit Suburban Square, which hosts numerous local and chain stores.

Best local places to grab brunch:

Autograph Brasserie– Wayne

Kimberton Inn– Kimberton

Julie Anne’s Place– Malvern

Nudy’s Café– Paoli, Malvern, & Wayne

Em J’s Café– Berwyn

If you’re feeling outdoorsy:

The Main Line is located right near Valley Forge National Historical Park, site of an encampment during the Revolutionary War. The park offers walking trails, breathtaking views, group tours, and events and reenactments all for free! If you are looking for water activities, consider kayaking in Phoenixville or going to Marsh Creek State Park in Downingtown to spend some time paddle boarding or row-boating on the non-powerboat lake. A good way to experience the beautiful Pennsylvania outdoors is through a scenic horseback ride, offered by many local stables.
